On 9 May, we welcomed an incredible community of supporters, partners and champions to our Gala 2026 at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. Brought together under the theme ‘Connecting the Dots: Lifelong Relationships, Lasting Change’, it was a meaningful gathering of over 400 guests in honour of the relationships that drive lasting change in the lives of children, young girls, and families in Hong Kong.
The night was filled with heartfelt moments, including beautiful performances from the Children’s Choir, moving stories of transformation shared by our community, an exciting live auction, and above all, a genuine connection between every guest in the room.
Mr Chris Sun, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, delivered a video message calling on all sectors of society to work alongside the Government and Mother’s Choice in supporting children and families facing adversity. Following his address, our Advisory Council member, Dr Rosanna Wong, DBE, JP, welcomed guests and highlighted the importance of collaborative strength in changing the life stories of the next generation.
Our CEO, Ms Sky Siu, reflected in her address on the urgent and often unseen need in our city. She shared the stories of young girls whose lives have been changed through the support of the Mother’s Choice community, reminding us that lasting change rarely comes from a single moment, but from the connections built over time and the people who show up at different moments.
In the past year, Mother’s Choice cared for over 160 children, walked alongside over 600 girls in crisis pregnancy, supported almost 140 families in need and reached more than 17,000 people through community education, outreach and volunteer work. None of this would be possible without the generous commitment of our community, and the support raised at Gala 2026 will help us extend that impact to even more people in need.
