Everyone has an important role to play. There’re many ways to take action, but doing nothing is never an option.
Mother’s Choice launched our self-financed foster care service, Project Bridge, in 2016. Since then, we’ve been working hand in hand with different community partners, including churches, to develop the service and provide care and support for children in need.
Brett Hilliard, Senior Pastor of our partner church Island ECC, was recently interviewed by Christian Times. In the interview, he shared his journey of becoming a foster parent and encouraged the public to start with small actions to support children in need, such as helping foster families, donating supplies, or even becoming a respite carer. He believes that becoming a foster parent is a meaningful opportunity to live out one’s faith.
Sky Siu, CEO of Mother’s Choice, hopes to partner with more churches to show the spirit of loving our neighbours as ourselves, care for children in need through foster care and build a stronger community support network.
The interview was published on 3 July. Click here to read the full article (in Chinese only).
